Advising Franconian wine estates, Artur Baumann stands for practical and sustainable viticulture.

As former managing director of the Weinbauring Franken he shaped the teaching of gentle pruning, and trained winegrowers in pruning, vine training, plant protection, canopy management and organic growing. His experience from vineyard walks goes into VINORUM today — from field records and cellar book to AI-supported disease recognition and weather-based forecasts of infection risk.

For over 30 years Horst Kolesch shaped the leadership of one of the largest and most traditional German wine estates.

As long-standing head of the Juliusspital estate and its agriculture and forestry division, he was responsible for large areas, teams and investments, and knows what professional wine estates need. In retirement he brings that experience into VINORUM: from work organisation and investment planning through cost and contribution margin accounting to profitability and business development.

The three that come up in almost every first conversation — cost, technology, obligations.

What does VINORUM really cost — are there hidden costs?

Three tiers by estate size: €149, €299 or €449 a month — every module is included in every tier, nothing to buy on top. One fiscalised till is included, each further one costs €19 a month. The VINI assistant is included with a generous fair-use allowance. On top of that comes setting up, once: €800, whatever the tier. Data migration and personal training are optional and charged separately — the prices are set out openly on the pricing page. Paying annually, you pay eleven months instead of twelve. Does VINORUM work without an internet connection?

Yes and no — and that is the honest answer. The areas where reception is poor anyway keep working without a connection: the cellar, the vineyard and the tasting room. You can also reach the documents of the last 90 days. The situation it is built for: the internet is gone and there are walk-in customers in the yard — you still write the delivery note and the invoice. Not everything works: anything beyond that needs the connection. As soon as the connection is back, everything synchronises by itself.

Does VINORUM really produce my declarations itself?

The declarations come out of the cellar book — stock, harvest and production declarations, wine fund levy, packaging volumes. You check and submit; nothing is kept twice. VINORUM raises deadlines as a task in good time: “8 days left until the stock declaration.”
