The cellar has no Wi-Fi. VINORUM does not care.
A cellar book that only works at a desk gets written up from memory in the evening. VINORUM makes the entry where the work happens: at the tank. Scan the QR code — and do go ahead and switch the connection off.

An emergency workstation in the office. If the internet drops, one designated device keeps working: orders, quotes, addresses. It fetches its document numbers in advance, so that nothing ends up numbered twice.
Emergency mode at the till. Cash sales in the tasting room even without a connection, carrying the note the law requires on the receipt. Deliberately narrow and set up with tax advice: cash payment, articles from stock, no vouchers.
Checking tickets. The guest list is on the device before the doors open, and tickets are marked used offline. The wine festival does not wait for a mobile signal.
And what does not work offline: Card payments, online payments, shipping labels, email, weather and authorisation data, VINI. Somebody at the other end has to answer. Better to say so here than to raise an expectation that lets you down at the moment it matters.
