Blending

Bringing several wines or musts together into a new one — with every consequence wine law attaches to that.

Blending is craft, but it is also a legal question: what may be brought together depends on origin, vintage, variety and quality level, and what may be stated on the label follows from the proportions.

So every blend has to be recorded with its proportions, not merely as an event. Without proportions the batch history is a list, not a chain.
