Price level
A price differing from the list price that applies to a particular customer or customer group.
The trade and restaurants rarely buy at the consumer price. Serve both and you run at least two levels — often more, because individual buyers have terms of their own.
The mistake happens where the channels meet: a restaurant customer who orders in the shop at the consumer price pays too much — and telephones. So price levels belong to the customer, not to the individual document.
