Receipt obligation

The duty to issue a receipt for every sale — whether or not the customer wants one.

It has applied since 2020 to anyone using an electronic recording system. The receipt may be digital; it has to be issued in any case, and offered in immediate connection with the sale.

At the farm gate it is the rule most often overlooked — and the easiest to comply with, because the till produces the receipt anyway.
