TSE (certified security module)
The certified module that signs every till transaction and logs it so that it cannot be altered.
Since 2020 every electronic recording system in Germany must have one. It gives each transaction a signature and a sequential number — which makes later changes visible.
It is not software but a certified module; it exists as hardware and as a cloud variant. For the estate the practical point is this: it has an expiry date and has to be replaced or extended in good time.
