The plain XML format for electronic invoices to public-sector customers in Germany.

No visual rendering, only data. Supply authorities, local councils or public institutions and you will be asked for it.

Like ZUGFeRD it satisfies the EN 16931 standard — which format you use depends solely on the recipient. A system that issues invoices should manage both without your having to think about it.
