ZUGFeRD / Factur-X

A hybrid electronic invoice format: a PDF with the structured data embedded in it.

The person sees the invoice they are used to; the software reads the embedded XML. For smaller businesses it is usually the most practical variant, because it works without the recipient having to change anything.

Factur-X is the same format under a French name. Issue ZUGFeRD from version 2.0 onwards and you can supply France with it too.
