Mandatory label information

The list has grown. Since December 2023, wines from a new harvest also carry an ingredients list and a nutrition declaration; the energy value has to be on the label itself, the rest may be provided electronically.

Where the information comes from is the actual work: allergens from the fining, the alcohol content from the analysis, the AP number from the examination, the lot from the bottling. The label is a summary of the cellar book — and it still usually gets typed into a document of its own.
