Quality level
The classification in wine law from Landwein through Qualitätswein up to the Prädikat levels.
It depends on the must weight at harvest, on the origin, and — for Qualitätswein and Prädikatswein — on passing the official examination.
For record keeping the decisive point is that the level is not a matter of choice: it follows from figures that came into being at the grape intake. Set it later without those figures and you are guessing.
